I am fascinated by image and color reproduction. I started my career early as a photographer, and was introduced to digital imaging in college. After graduation I started working as a drum scanner operator and when I moved to San Francisco in 1995, began scanning on Scitex equipment. With my knowledge of imaging devices, I had the opportunity to launch two digital photo studios for Rapid Lasergraphics. One studio in San Francisco and one in Santa Clara. We were on the cutting edge of this new technology by using PhaseOne camera backs.
After a few years with Rapid I was presented an opportunity to manage Octagon Digital Media's digital imaging department. After upgrading the equipment and enjoying 4 years with the company, I was recruited to become Director of Photography for an up coming dot com called NextOffice. I learned much about web production and was immersed in the latest and greatest tools to show case product online. Unfortunately about one year later the bubble burst. Fortunately, this lead to my current position with GAP Inc. Online as a Digital Artist. I am coming up on 5 great years with GAP.
